The Houston Texans are keeping Nico Collins for the next few years.
The Houston Texans are making a massive move to solidify their future, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.
Breaking: The Texans have agreed to a contract extension with WR Nico Collins, per league sources. The new three-year deal will pay him around $24 million per year.
Collins, 25, is coming off the best year of his three-year career with 80 catches for 1,297 yards and eight touchdowns, all of which led the Texans in 2023.
Even with the acquisition of Stefon Diggs, the Texans wanted to ensure that Collins’ future would be in Houston, and this deal solidifies that. Now, Collins will continue to catch passes and touchdowns from C.J. Stroud for the remainder of his rookie deal. Collins is now under contract until the end of the 2027 NFL season.
