Call of Duty x Fallout Crossover Coming June 20

on

On June 20, Call of Duty players worldwide will be able to purchase a Fallout-themed pack: the Fallout Vault Dweller Tracer Pack. This pack is bursting at the seams with Fallout-based goodies, including two weapon blueprints, a special V.A.T.S. Death Effect animation, and four Operator skins – one each for Gaz, Price, Ghost, and Soap. It’s a crossover that was leaked a couple of weeks back, but it’s only now that Activision has finally (and officially) lifted the lid on it.

It’s one hell of a pack, featuring more than 15 unique items ranging from skins to loading screens and from weapon charms to calling cards. For the dedicated Fallout fan, it’s a must-buy. In April, the Fallout TV show was released to an overwhelmingly popular reception, which is why we’re now seeing so many Fallout-themed crossovers in popular games.

Call of Duty players can take advantage of a new Fallout-themed event to earn rewards.

From June 20 to June 26, the Vault Dwellers Event will go live, featuring a wide array of challenges spread across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. While using the Vault Dweller Operator skins, players can complete a range of events to earn exclusive cosmetic items, including a Nuka-Cola Quantum-themed weapon skin.

It’s the perfect pack for fans wanting to milk the most out of Modern Warfare 3 before Black Ops 6 is released.

In a charming and on-theme post on the Call of Duty blog, the skin pack and the upcoming event were revealed in full. The post referenced characters from Fallout 4 – which might seem weird as you’d think this would be connected to the television show. Regardless, it was on point and read very nicely to Fallout fans in the know. Here’s the blurb from Activision about the Fallout Vault Dweller Tracer Pack:

‘War… war never changes. Rise to the surface and face your enemies in a brand-new collaboration with the post-apocalyptic Fallout series. Deploy as one of four Task Force 141 vault dwellers — including Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz — with Vault-Tec enhanced Weapon Blueprints and other Fallout-themed items for use in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® IIICall of Duty: Warzone™, and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.’

In a quick post on social media platforms, the team revealed a short trailer showcasing the new skins:

If you’re wondering about the weapon blueprints, you’ll be able to unlock a Vault-Tec Approved M16 that comes with not one but two Aftermarket Parts as standard. Then there’s the Atomic Disintegrator HRM-9, which totes a 50-round drum magazine and a thermal sight that’s built to mimic elements of Fallout. Alongside that sits a brilliant new execution animation and more calling cards, loading screens, and stickers than you can shake a Pip-Boy at.

The final price of the Fallout Vault Dweller Tracer Pack hasn’t been revealed but it’s expected it’ll cost around $19.99 – or around 2,400 COD Points.
