The Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to report in Oxnard on July 24th.

This time of year when we talk about Dallas Cowboys training camp we generally say “about a month from now” given the approximate report date for things in Oxnard, California.

We needn’t deal in ambiguity any longer. On Tuesday the team announced official report dates for both rookies and veterans. All are scheduled to make their presences known in Oxnard on July 24th.

This news means we are about five weeks away from activities commencing at training camp. There is no real question about the state of things at this point, although matters involving CeeDee Lamb’s presence remains a question mark.

So far through the offseason Lamb has chosen not to participate due to dissatisfaction with his contractual status with the team. He skipped the voluntary portion of things as well as the team’s mandatory minicamp. Bypassing training camp is an elevated thing and one that we have seen several Cowboys work to their advantage (in terms of getting the deal they want) in the past. Zack Martin did it just last year.

While Lamb is one that we can predict to likely not show up there are also the situations involving Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons. To date both have shown up at different points, but it is always possible that they could themselves decide to send a message at the opportune time.

At least we know that time, whatever happens around it, is on July 24th.
