Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J, CMLL luchadores, and more added to MLW Battle Riot match

Get your translation dictionaries ready for Juggalo and Spanish on Saturday night. MLW Battle Riot is going to be an eclectic affair in Atlanta, GA on June 1, 2024. The latest batch of entrants into the Battle Riot match include Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J, CMLL luchadores, and more.

The Battle Riot is MLW’s version of a No DQ Royal Rumble. The winner earns a future shot at the MLW World Heavyweight Championship, which is currently held by Satoshi Kojima.

Pop the Faygo, ninja. Violent J is set to make his debut for MLW in the Battle Riot match.

MLW described Violent J’s arrival as:

Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse will make his MLW debut in a match where there are no disqualifications and anything goes. In other words, it’s a juggalo’s paradise!

Violent J, a brawling hardcore hiphop artist is coming to bust heads and break legs. A wild card in the riot, could the “Duke of the Wicked” win it all?

The newest additions from CMLL include Rugido and Star Jr. They will join Mistico and Okumura in representing Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.

From the MLW roster, Rickey Shane Page and Ikuro Kwon are now in the mix. Adam Priest is coming from the indie circuit to make his MLW debut in Battle Riot. Another newcomer is Chris Danger.

40 wrestlers enter the Battle Riot. The updated list of participants includes Matt Riddle, Ernest “The Cat” Miller, Sami Callihan, Mistico, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Alex Kane, Mr. Thomas, AJ Francis, Matthew Justice, 1 Called Manders, Akira, Okumura, Timothy Thatcher, Mads Krugger, Ikuro Kwon, the Contra crusader, Bobby Fish, Josh Bishop, Brett Ryan Gosselin, Jake Crist, Paul Walter Hauser, Jimmy Yang, Jesus (Ricardo) Rodriguez, Bad Dude Tito, Rickey Shane Page, Rugido, Star Jr., Chris Danger, Adam Priest, and Violent J. By my count that list fills 30 spots.

Battle Riot will air live on MLW’s YouTube channel for free on Saturday, June 1 at 9 pm ET.
