John and I discussed the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2024 regular season schedule release and dissected all 17 games one by one. John wrote up his win/loss predictions here; mine are listed below.
Week 1: Sept. 8 at Miami Dolphins
Prediction: Jaguars lose (0-1)
Mike McDaniel is a brutal first matchup for Ryan Nielsen.
Week 2: Sept. 15 vs. Cleveland Browns
Prediction: Jaguars win (1-1)
Cleveland has plenty of talent, but how can anyone trust them given their quarterback?
Week 3: Sept. 23 at Buffalo Bills (MNF)
Prediction: Jaguars lose (1-2)
“The Bad Josh Allen” happens to be the best player in the sport not named Pat.
Week 4: Sept. 29 at Houston Texans
Prediction: Jaguars win (2-2)
Like Week 12 of 2023, Jacksonville will be eager to silence the Houston hype.
Week 5: Oct. 6 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Prediction: Jaguars win (3-2)
The Jaguars will look to extend its home winning streak against the Colts to 10 games.
Week 6: Oct. 13 at Chicago Bears (London)
Prediction: Jaguars lose (3-3)
Chicago is becoming a popular playoff sleeper, and for good reason. That roster is stacked.
Week 7: Oct. 20 vs. New England Patriots (London)
Prediction: Jaguars win (4-3)
Jacksonville should come out of its London trip with at least one dub against a rookie passer.
Week 8: Oct. 27 vs. Green Bay Packers
Prediction: Jaguars lose (4-4)
Loyal listeners know the Packers are my ride-or-die Super Bowl pick this year.
Week 9: Nov. 3 at Philadelphia Eagles (SNF)
Prediction: Jaguars win (5-4)
Doug Pederson gets his revenge after losing a close one in Philly in 2022.
Week 10: Nov. 10 vs. Minnesota Vikings
Prediction: Jaguars lose (5-5)
Kevin O’Connell may have J.J. McCarthy cooking by this point in the season.
Week 11: Nov. 17 at Detroit Lions
Prediction: Jaguars lose (5-6)
That’s right — I have the Jaguars losing each matchup against the NFC North. Good division!
Week 12: BYE
Prediction: n/a
Jaguars players and staff receive ice cream from Doug Pederson.
Week 13: Dec. 1 vs. Houston Texans
Prediction: Jaguars win (6-6)
I really think Houston is the most hated team in Jacksonville’s locker room, and it’ll show.
Week 14: Dec. 8 at Tennessee Titans
Prediction: Jaguars win (7-6)
Tennessee made a lot of noise this offseason but I can’t say I have much trust in the nepo org.
Week 15: Dec. 15 vs. New York Jets
Prediction: Jaguars win (8-6)
Surely Aaron Rodgers will have found some asinine reason to not be on the field by then.
Week 16: Dec. 22 at Las Vegas Raiders
Prediction: Jaguars win (9-6)
Remember what happened when Gardner Minshew started against Jacksonville last year?
Week 17: Dec. 29 vs. Tennessee Titans
Prediction: Jaguars win (10-6)
