Jim Ross says he’ll be at Forbidden Door despite recent ER visit

Legendary announcer Jim Ross has been dealing with numerous health issues over the past couple of years. On Tuesday (June 25), the WWE Hall of Famer shared about his latest trip to the emergency room, his second in recent months for shortness of breath:

Another trip to the ER.
Difficulty breathing.
Likely an overnight stay.
I’ll be ok. Let’s fight!

Ross’ health was likely a factor in his recent contract renewal with AEW, which has him focused on calling big PPV matches for Tony Khan’s company. After missing last month’s Double or Nothing show due to an unplanned hospital stay, JR is determined to not miss tomorrow’s Forbidden Door in New York. He shared on Friday (June 28) that he was already en route to Sunday’s show:

“Flying to NYC Saturday for #ForbiddenDoor

Wouldn’t miss it @AEW”

No word yet on which match JR will be calling, but given his experience calling both AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling bouts, he’ll have lots of options June 30 at Long Island’s UBS Arena.
