Matt Hardy might not make it to his TNA world title fight at Against All Odds

on

As they often say in the business of professional wrestling, card subject to change. Matt Hardy was previously advertised to challenge Moose for the TNA World Championship at Against All Odds on June 14, but now the Broken One’s status is iffy. And it’s all Moose’s fault.

Moose was tired of the games, so he made it his mission to hunt down Hardy during Thursday night’s episode of Impact (May 30, 2024.) Moose conveniently located his prey at the close of the show. Fisticuffs erupted with Hardy trying to delete Moose’s head against a storage box. Moose gained control by ramming a chair into Hardy’s midsection. The champ placed the chair around Hardy’s neck and grabbed another chair for chair-on-chair violence. Steel hit steel resulting in Hardy’s neck going snap, crackle, pop. The Broken One slumped on the floor as a broken mess.

The last time Moose executed that devious tactic with chairs was on Nic Nemeth. The Wanted Man missed four weeks of time in the TNA universe. If Hardy has the same recovery timeline, then he will miss Against All Odds. However, there is one big difference between the two. Hardy has access to the healing powers of the Lake of Reincarnation on his home compound.

If Hardy can’t compete at Against All Odds, that begs the question of who. Say his name, and he appears. I believe in Joe Hendry. He is on a hot streak pinning Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards in recent matches. Hendry might get the call to capitalize on the popularity of his theme song.

How do you think this dilemma shakes out for TNA at Against All Odds?
