The current World No.2 makes every effort to try to play the third Major on the calendar, but it will be at the end of the week and before the draw on Friday when it decides whether to compete finally or give the opportunity to another tennis player.

The Balkan has assured that he will only compete if he is fully recovered and feels he can play normally for glory.

“I can’t give much detail about my knee, but I can say things are going well. The rehabilitation is progressing as planned, day by day we are advancing, every morning I feel a little better.

This feeling gives me hope and motivation to move on. I still have a week to prepare, I think that will be enough. I will do my best, that’s for sure, but I need to know what to expect before the draw,” the native of Belgrade told EFE.

After retiring from the second Grand Slam in the season, Roland Garros, Djokovic made the quick decision to go through the operating room to quickly heal the problem in the affected joint, thinking of returning as quickly as possible the ATP circuit, with the mind set on Wimbledon and the Olympics.

In a recent interview, Taylor Fritz admitted that Djokovic has a chance to be competitive in London. The Serbian ace has already worked with players such as Federico Coria or Frances Tiafoe, practice sessions in which he has not played his full capacity and in which he has sought the best preparation to achieve competitive pace, adaptation to the surface and test your physique to decide if you compete in London.
