NXT ratings have now reached the level of AEW Dynamite

The ratings and viewership data are in for the May 28 episode of WWE NXT.

Per Wrestlenomics, the show averaged 703,000 viewers and scored a 0.24 rating among 18-49 year olds.

One of the big hooks on this episode was the appearance of rap star Sexyy Red. That appeared to do the trick, because even going up against tough competition from the NBA and NHL playoffs, NXT drew its second best demo rating of 2024, only trailing New Year’s Evil from January. This is also the first time that NXT averaged more than 700K viewers since those early January episodes.

What’s more interesting to me is that these numbers are awfully similar to the level AEW Dynamite reached over the prior five weeks, from April 24 through May 22. For now it’s an outlying result for NXT to hit these numbers, but it’s something to keep an eye on going forward.
