Where does the Indianapolis Colts’ offensive line rank amongst the rest of the AFC?

Pro Football Focus recently released their top offensive line rankings ahead of the 2024 season, with the Indianapolis Colts coming in as the NFL’s third-best unit overall.

Not long after releasing their rankings for the NFL’s best offensive lines, PFF’s Zoltan Buday ranked the top offensive lines in the AFC, with the Colts taking the top spot followed closely by the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets.

The Colts’ offensive line saw quite the turnaround during the 2023 season, with major bounce-back campaigns from all five starters, and it was one of the main reasons why Indianapolis more than doubled its win total last season with nine wins from a forgetful four-win season in 2022.

More specifically, Bernhard Raimann, a former third-round pick, came into his own. So much so that he likely solidified himself as the Colts’ left tackle of the future, while left guard Quenton Nelson and center Ryan Kelly arguably returned to Pro Bowl-type play as well. Former seventh-round pick Will Fries has proven to be a nice find at the right guard slot for Indianapolis, and Braden Smith, despite missing seven total games during the season, anchored down the right side of the Colts’ offensive line and showed that he can still perform at an elite level.

Indianapolis’ offensive line will certainly look to carry over their success from just a season ago. If the unit can remain amongst the NFL and AFC’s best yet again, it’ll go a long way in helping the Colts as they attempt to fight for a playoff berth in 2024.
