The Ravens Week 1 game was announced. As they will play the Super Bowl defending Kansas City Chiefs, they find themselves road underdogs

Nearly four months after being three-point favorites over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, the Baltimore Ravens are road dogs for the NFL Kickoff game on Sunday Night Football on Thursday night (ridiculous title, isn’t it?).

So, if you believe the Ravens, with their new weapons, defense and two-time rushing champion Derrick Henry are going to run through the Chiefs’ faces, now’s the time to drop a lil coin on the game to maximize your winnings.

This is just the 14th time Lamar Jackson has been an underdog in his six-year career. In such contests, Jackson is 10-4 (.714).

In 2023, Jackson and the Ravens were underdogs just twice; they won both games (Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers).

The Ravens tend to take care of business in Week 1, going 4-1 in the Jackson era and a 12-4 during the John Harbaugh era. However, they aren’t going up against a slouch squad. They’re facing the reigning champion Chiefs, with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, who in their time together have gone 5-1 in Week 1. For more on that topic, here’s a statistical breakdown of these two Week 1 stalwarts.
