WKMG-TV in Orlando has obtained footage from the Performance Center shooting that took place back in August.
The video aired on their local newscast on Monday evening and it showed the moments that led to a deputy shooting a crazed fan, 29-year-old Armando Montalvo, outside the facility.
Montalvo already had an injunction barring him from the facility because of prior incidents. Montalvo had applied for a job with WWE and had been rejected. In the newly released footage, Montalvo is heard saying “Why don’t you train me to become your undisputed, best, NXT wrestler of all (expletive) time?”
He would end up getting shot in the chest after he charged after one of the deputies. Montalvo was rushed to the hospital where doctors were able to save his life. Montalvo’s father would later tell investigators that his son suffers from Bipolar and Manic depressive disorder.
Montalvo is out on bond and his trial is set for February at the Orange County Courthouse.
