WWE Battleground 2015 will take place on July 19, 2015 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
WWE BATTLEGROUND 2015 PREDICTIONS
R-Truth vs. King Barrett (Kickoff Match)
They say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Not in this case. King Barrett has been embarrassed and humiliated plenty by R-Truth, both in and out of the ring, for the better part of the last month. I think that with the crown going to the victor of this bout, Barrett will show perseverance in disposing of R-Truth, and relegate him to nothing more than a court jester.
WINNER: King Barrett
Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt
Superstars usually attempt to defeat Roman Reigns by dismantling his body. Bray Wyatt hit The Big Dog where body armor can’t protect him: His mind. Reigns hasn’t been the same guy since, and only the presence of Dean Ambrose as bait has given him a leg up on The New Face of Fear. In one-on-one combat, Reigns hits harder than Wyatt for sure. But the damage has already been done where it counts.
WINNER: Bray Wyatt
Randy Orton vs. Sheamus
Randy Orton’s brief leave of absence opened the door for Sheamus to run rampant, and The Apex Predator’s return has Mr. Money in the Bank appropriately shook. The Celtic Warrior was made a fool on Raw by Orton’s mocking RKO, which means he’ll have a grudge going into their Battleground brawl. And, as we all know, an angry Sheamus is the most effective Sheamus.
WINNER: Sheamus
United States Champion John Cena vs. Kevin Owens
Sorry, Cenation members. Unlike recent rivalries, this one is not going to see John Cena win the rubber match and retain the United States Championship. Kevin Owens is not Bray Wyatt. Kevin Owens is not Rusev. Kevin Owens is not a sports-entertainment sideshow who comes to the ring with zombie scarecrows or a tank. Owens is all steak and no sizzle — a grizzled, tough steak that will make John Cena choke in match three of this rivalry knotted at 1-1.
WINNER: Kevin Owens
WWE Tag Team Champions The Prime Time Players vs. The New Day
The more I see Titus O’Neil & Darren Young in action, the more I believe these two did the right thing in reuniting. I suspect that The New Day will use the non in-ring member of their group to their optimum effort this Sunday. But Young and O’Neil have had enough encounters against the challengers that they should be able to circumvent whatever The New Day throws at them and emerge victorious.
WINNERS: The Prime Time Players
Brock Lesnar vs. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins
You’d think Seth Rollins is a dead man walking, but The Architect isn’t just any old titleholder. He’s the handpicked protégé of Triple H, and lesson No. 1 at The King of Kings’ knee is that there’s always a Plan B. So Rollins will take the all-access tour of Suplex City, but he’ll survive this and keep his title. I have no idea how, but he’ll do it.
WINNER: Seth Rollins.
We will ofcourse be doing Full Live-Coverage of Battleground, Don’t forget to join us tomorrow at 8:00 PM ET Onwards.
