On last night’s RAW, Brock Lesnar officially accepted Jinder Mahal’s challenge for a “Champion vs. Champion” match at Survivor Series. On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed more details about the upcoming match.
WWE is planning on adding a special guest referee to the match, though the company hasn’t yet settled on who that would be. John Cena’s name was mentioned as a possibility, that it would make sense to insert Cena into the match in order to set up a storyline with Mahal for the future.
The WWE’s main goal in adding a special guest referee is to put someone in the ring who would be intriguing with Lesnar. There are other names being floated around, so Cena is not a lock to referee the match. The possibility of the referee being Goldberg or The Undertaker, considering they are two superstars who would definitely add some intrigue.
Mahal will be going over in this match and it’s more likely that Lesnar continues his dominance.
