“Cowboy” James Storm has left TNA Wrestling and will no longer be working for the company. Storm appeared during many of the recent “IMPACT WRESTLING” tapings in Orlando, Florida, which will air week-to-week on Destination America until October.
Storm has been a TNA Wrestling staple since the company began in June of 2002. He spent most of his time as a tag team wrestler, holding the TNA World Tag Team Championship titles six times. He also won the NWA World Tag Team Championship titles a record seven times. He held these titles as part of America’s Most Wanted and Beer Money.
Storm did hold the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for a brief period of time. He defeated Kurt Angle for the title in October of 2011. Storm claims that although he’s done with TNA, he’s not done wrestling.
The Cowboy took to Twitter to announce that he was done with the company, saying,
Finished up my duties with Impact Wrestling yesterday. Today begins a new chapter in my life. I’m excited for what the future holds. #Thanks

Oh… I’m not done wrestling. Just working on a new saddle for a fresh horse. #CowboyWay #WeWantTheCowboy — James Storm (@JamesStormBrand) July 31, 2015
