The seven wrestlers who will meet in the Men’s Elimination Chamber next week are to clash in a Gauntlet Match tomorrow night on Raw.
The announcement comes six days after the line-up was made official by Kurt Angle. The general manager decided last week that both Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor would be included on 25 February, after watching the pair pin each other simultaneously during a fatal five-way qualifying bout.
The two former world champions will join Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, John Cena, The Miz and Elias in Nevada on Sunday, marking the first time that the match has featured more than six competitors. The winner will go on to challenge for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34.
Despite being described by WWE as an opportunity to make “the ultimate statement” ahead of Elimination Chamber, it’s unlikely that tomorrow’s main event will offer any clues on who will be facing Lesnar on 8 April. With seven of the best wrestlers in the company involved, however, it’s likely to be an engrossing spectacle if nothing else.
It is expected that Raw this week will also see further announcements for its upcoming pay-per-view, which currently only has three confirmed matches, plus Ronda Rousey’s contract signing.
