The Miz is reportedly set to defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship in a huge Fatal 5-Way match at WrestleMania 34 .
The 37-year-old performer, from Parma, Ohio, signed a new contract with the sports entertainment giant last month running until 2022.
Miz, real name Michael Mizanin, is currently enjoying his eighth reign as Intercontinental Champion, a feat bettered only by Chris Jericho.
It is believed the ‘Must See Superstar’ will receive a big push later this year, which could even see him restored to the main event scene.
But first he may drop the IC title on the Grandest Stage of Them All at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 8.
That’s because he will apparently be challenged by four of the top stars on Raw, including The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman.
Fans have wondered who the juggernaut will face at the Show of Shows following his record-breaking performance at the Elimination Chamber.
The behemoth dispatched five other men to come within a whisker of earning a shot at WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Mania.
However, he was pipped to the post by old rival Roman Reigns, meaning who will get ‘these hands’ at the annual extravaganza remains in doubt.
It has been suggested in some quarters that WWE bookers are considering adding the rising talent to the world title main event in a triple threat.
Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso has said the plan is now that Strowman will get the chance to earn his first championship gold from The Miz.
And he reports joining him in a five-way encounter will be former world champions Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, plus guitar-wielding heel Elias.
Rollins has been on a roll of late, having cleanly pinned Reigns and John Cena in a gauntlet match ahead of a sterling Elimination Chamber effort.
This has led to rumours that the former Shield man could be making a post-WrestleMania move to SmackDown to become the new face of the brand.
Balor remains one of the most popular performers among fans and WWE management, with Triple H a huge believer in the former NXT Champion.
And the Irishman’s standing in the company is plain for all to see given his placing in the final four in the men’s Royal Rumble match.
Elias meanwhile continues to get huge crowd reactions and was selected as the injured Samoa Joe’s replacement to brawl with Cena at Raw 25.
