Roman Reigns comments on Undertaker’s return to WrestleMania 34 to face John Cena

Undertaker lost an emotional bout to Reigns last year at WrestleMania 33 and hinted at retirement when he placed his signature black jacket, gloves and hat in the middle of the ring before saluting the crowd.

The 53-year-old is now set to accept John Cena’s challenge for the Grandest Stage of Them All and come back for what could be his last ever match.

Reigns said he would love to see The Deadman come back but is worried that would cancel out last year’s powerful moment at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida after their match.

The Big Dog told the New York Post: “There is still something about when he took the coat off. He took that hat off and he left them folded.

“That shot is just … it was so good and so like goose-bump giving that it would be weird to kind of just see it not used any more [in video packages] because it’s not true. You know what I mean.”

Rumours have been suggesting that since Taker left his attire at the ring last year he will come back as Big Evil, a biker gimmick he used from 2000 to 2003.

Reigns, who will be challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at Mania, insists the timing isn’t right as many young members of the audience won’t get it.

He added: “I feel like it may not work on this one.

“I felt like maybe that would be something that would almost have to be built into. Unless he’s just going to show up next week as the biker, the American Badass Taker to give us that one week of preparation.

“For him to just show up that way, I think with our audience now, a good portion, like 60 to 70 per cent would understand, but there might be that 30 per cent of children who are a little confused.”

WrestleMania takes place on April 8 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
