As it was before WrestleMania 33, rumors of WWE bringing Hulk Hogan back into the fold have swirled heading into this year’s ‘Mania.
After word first hit the wrestling web WWE was again talking to the man they fired back in 2015 when audio surfaced of him using racial slurs, the company admitted conversations had occurred, but said there was no deal in place. This week, Hogan has point blank denied he’d be in New Orleans for The Showcase of The Immortals.
WWE knew all eyes would be on the Los Angeles premiere of HBO’s Andre The Giantdocumentary on Thursday night (Mar. 29), as the Hulkster would be there along with many other wrestling legends and company officials. Hogan aide-de-camp Jimmy Hart made sure TMZ knew his man was in L.A. for HBO and not WWE, and The ‘E sent out a preliminary statement early in the day letting the media know Hulk being at the event didn’t mean anything new about their relationship with the Hall of Famer:
“Hulk Hogan is an important part of Andre the Giant’s history, however his appearance at tonight’s HBO premiere of the documentary and his plans to help others learn from his mistakes does not mean WWE is rehiring him. Hogan is not scheduled to be at any upcoming WWE events.”
They didn’t hesitate to promote his appearance there on their social media, however:

And HH knows how to get Hulkamaniac tongues wagging, as was proven again by this picture he Instragrammed. That’s a lot of Hs in one photo!
Is that a contract negotiation or a pre-match staredown?
Whether or not he’s at WrestleMania, or there’s an official deal in place, the relationship definitely isn’t as chilly as it was even a few months ago.
