Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock engaged in one of the most epic rivalries of all time. These days, they are quite friendly, as evidenced by the Twitter exchange they had over Austin’s finishing move.
It started when a video of Austin stunning The Rock was posted along with the caption “overselling at its finest”. Austin took no time in responding – claiming that it was a “shoot move” that actually hurt, and The Rock wasn’t overselling at all.
Of course, The Rock immediately jumped in and added that he just wanted to make sure that he didn’t “underserve the ticket paying audience” with the way he sold the move. Here’s the Twitter change in its entirety:
That was not overselling. The Stunner is a complete shoot. Very painful.. RT @90sWWE: Here’s every @steveaustinBSR Stunner on @TheRock…

Haha I never “oversold” Austin’s stunner. I simply refused to “underserve” the ticket paying audience. Gotta give ‘em their monies worth every night and send ‘em home happy. Plus, Austin & I had cold beer waiting in the locker room so that was my “happy dance” ??? #GoodTimes https://t.co/F1vihKjKKo
