This week’s WWE SmackDown, the 1000th episode with advertised returns by several big names including Evolution and The Undertaker, drew 2.545 million viewers. This is up from last week’s 2.135 million viewers.

SmackDown was #9 in viewership for the night on cable, for the second week in a row, behind the MLB American League Championship Series game, the MLB National League Championship Series game, the 8pm NBA game, the 10pm NBA game, Hannity, Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Ingraham Angle and The Five. SmackDown was #5 in the 18-49 demographic this week, behind the two MLB games and the two NBA games.

The NBA game between the Celtics and the 76ers topped the night in the 18-49 demographic with 2.945 million viewers. The NBA game between the Thunder and the Warriors came in at #2 in the 18-49 demographic with 2.717 million viewers. The MLB game between the Astros and the Red Sox topped the night in viewership with 4.871 million viewers, ranking #3 in the 18-49 demographic. The MLB game between the Dodgers and the Brewers ranked #4 in the 18-49 demographic but drew 4.087 million viewers. Hannity was #3 in viewership with 3.356 million but that show came in at #15 in the 18-49 demo.

The big draws on network TV were NCIS on CBS at 8pm, which drew 11.865 million viewers, and The Conners at 8pm on ABC with 10.563 million viewers.

In comparison, Monday’s WWE RAW 2.397 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.374 million viewers. This would be the second time SmackDown defeated RAW in viewership. The first time was back in late 2016 as the December 27 episode drew 2.885 million viewers, compared to the 2.855 million viewers that the red brand drew that week.
