According to the always reliable WrestleVotes, an early plan for the 2019 Royal Rumble out of Chase Field in Pheonix Arizona was for the Great One, The People’s Champ, The Rock to return and win the Rumble, then go on to face Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 35. Reports indicate that when Reigns announced his illness, plans obviously changed, and The Rock may have reconsidered appearing all together.
Rumble tidbit: Plan at one point was for The Rock to win the Royal Rumble & face Roman Reigns at Mania. That’s obviously not happening. Can Rock still win it & face Lesnar? I guess. Depends what kind of agreement Rock and WWE have. Once plans changed, Rock may have reconsidered.
