One of the most popular stars in NXT apparently has his eyes one of the biggest stars of the modern era.
The Velveteen Dream took to Twitter to announce that he is confident that he and John Cena will square off sometime in the future:

You may remember back in May at MegaCon that John Cena had also expressed interest in a match against The Dream. He had high praise for him, going as far as calling him “the next guy”:

With John Cena settling into a part time, talent elevation role, it seems that Velveteen Dream would be the exact opponent that makes sense for Cena at this point in his career. The Dream apparently feels the same way.
