As noted, Jim Ross will be parting ways with WWE when his current contract expires at the end of this month. On Thursday, the WWE Hall Of Famer took to social media to comment on some of the rumors surrounding his departure.

While some may believe there are bad feelings between Ross and WWE based on the news, “Good Ole’ J.R.” made sure to nip those rumors in the bud.

“Sad to see how some are looking for “dirt” as to why I will no longer be with WWE,” wrote Ross via his official Instagram page. “WWE and I are parting ways with no animosity.”

Ross spoke about the news at length on the latest installment of his weekly podcast, “The Ross Report,” and in his Instagram post on Thursday, he re-iterated the fact that he is nothing but grateful to WWE and Vince McMahon for all they have done for him over the years.

“As I said on my podcast on Westwood One, I can’t thank Vince McMahon enough for how he looked over Jan and me for the last 25+ years,” Ross stated. “I will be forever grateful.”

From there, Ross wrote about the next chapter of his life and promoted some of his upcoming projects.

“I look forward to the next chapter of my life. Working on our next book with Paul O’Brien. (You can still order SLOBBERKNOCKER on Amazon now). And join me at Gotham Comedy Club in NYC April 6th. Can’t wait to see all of you great fans there. Visit www.GothamComedyClub.com for more info.”
