Back in February, Arn Anderson was released from the WWE when word got around that he allowed Alicia Fox to wrestle a live event while intoxicated. Anderson was unable to discuss any information regarding his release when asked about it at Starrcast due to a non-disclosure agreement, but “The Enforcer” did provide some insight into his time with the WWE, and the toll it had in the long run.
I wish I could talk about it but the fact is, I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement when I left. You’re going to hear a lot of stuff online but don’t believe everything you hear. The people that know me, know the situation. I’m not [upset about leaving]. It was a great, stable environment for my family and myself but it’s a difficult place to work. The pressure is unbelievable. The hours are unbelievable. The travel is something. I don’t want to be anywhere where I’m not wanted. After 37 years, I think I deserve more than that.
No word yet on whether or not AEW will use Anderson as a producer. The promotion recently hired Dean Malenko to a multi-year deal.
