Damien Sandow returned to the ring this weekend at Maryland Championship Wrestling, working a big 8-man tag team match alongside another undervalued, former WWE star, Colt Cabana.

The two teamed up with MCW’s Bruiser and Johnny “Crab Cakes” Minadakis, the co-owner of the event’s sponsor, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, who was in action for one night only. The four man team took on MCW Heavyweight Champion “King” Ryan McBride, Rage Champion Ken Dixon, and the Dixon Line security force, Rob Locke and Joe Keys, who were accompanied by Kimber Lee.

Sandow, who was expected to return to the independent scene under the name “Aaron Stevens”, was instead introduced and promoted as Damien Sandow. He also came out sporting his blue robe and signature ring gear from his days on WWE television, and even briefly brought back his famous “stunt double” gimmick in a comedy spot with Colt Cabana.
