On Jason Jordan Originally Being Slated To Be His Wrestlemania Opponent:
Baron and I worked the program after Jason Jordan went out. Vince used Baron as an easy substitute in his opinion, but I didn’t have a problem with him. I love Baron’s progress, I love his look. He’s actually really good and he takes care of you in the ring.
On Why The Retirement Match Was Against Corbin:
Vince didn’t know that I wanted to retire at this WrestleMania. When I sprung it on him, about five weeks before WrestleMania, I gave him a list of guys I wanted to wrestle and the person that I wanted to wrestle at WrestleMania. My preferred opponent on that night would have been John Cena, but Vince refused to drop the storyline he’d been working with Baron Corbin to facilitate that match.
On Baron Corbin Being The Best Heel In The Business:
Was Baron the right person? Probably not, but look at him now. He’s the best heel in the business. because he can make people angry 24/7.
