New estimates from the TV industry have AEW’s weekly TNT program drawing an average of 400,000 – 500,000 viewers for the premiere episode, according to Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer.

AEW is expected to officially announce their weekly TNT TV show soon and as LoP has reported in the past – word is that the program could air on Wednesday nights beginning October 2nd.

It should be really interesting to see what kind of numbers AEW is drawing after the first few months. There are early-but-unconfirmed plans for WWE to bring NXT to Fox’s FS1 to go head-to-head with AEW each week, and if that happens it would greatly affect those numbers – setting up the Wednesday Night Wars era.
