We could be seeing the end of the WWE Wild Card Rule soon, according to a rumor from Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda and PW Torch.

The rumor states that WWE is quietly wrapping up the Wild Card Rule. There apparently won’t be an announcement or anything like that but it could be done away altogether following SummerSlam. The word is that there are many people within WWE who want the rule to go away.

WWE actually started moving away from the rule within a few weeks of it kicking off. They have already started mentioning it less during RAW and SmackDown programming.
