Regarding Ronda Rousey’s WWE future, it’s believed that WWE wants her on the first SmackDown Fox episode on Friday, October 4 from Los Angeles, to help pop the ratings.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the plan for Rousey, at least as of a month or so ago, was that if she decided to come back, she would, but that WWE officials didn’t want her on TV for a one-off appearance, like the SmackDown 20th Anniversary special on Fox could end up being. However, those rules would go out the window for this special episode, which is to have all-stars on deck for Fox.

There’s no word yet on if Rousey is ready to return from her post-WrestleMania 35 hiatus, or how the family planning is going with Travis Browne, but we should have a better idea on her WWE future as we get closer to October.

Word going around WWE is that when Rousey does return, she will likely work a more limited schedule than she did before, and be booked more as an attraction instead of a regular full-time roster member.
