Former TNA World Tag Team and X Division Champion Alex Shelley is working as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this week.

“I love wrestling. I am the Multiple Man of the industry: a thousand lives inna thousand different places. Thanks everyone who helped me get this far,” Shelley tweeted.

The 36 year old Shelley announce his retirement from pro wrestling back in the summer of 2018. He returned to the ring earlier this year and has wrestled a few matches since then. Shelley announced back on October 13 that he was still a free agent.

“I have had six matches this year. Six. Of those, I was able to wrestle @AustinAries, @MattTaven, @dgarrinibc, @JANELABABY, and @TheJonGresham. This is why I am a free agent. I wanted to come back to wrestle a variety of opponents in different places at different levels,” Shelley wrote on October 13 after wrestling just 6 matches this year, against names like Joey Janela, Matt Taven, Austin Aries, Dominic Garrini, and Jonathan Gresham.

WWE confirmed back in late July that Shelley’s former tag team partner in The Motor City Machine Guns, Chris Sabin, also worked a guest coaching stint at the PC.

There’s no word yet on what Shelley has planned for his future in the business, or if WWE is looking to hire him for a job at the PC. Stay tuned for updates.
