Don’t get your hopes up in seeing the Viper on AEW any time soon. Randy Orton just signed a multi-year deal with the WWE. This comes on the heels of Orton teasing jumping ship to AEW on social media, including a picture of him eyeing the words “elite level.” The WWE has been working hard on keeping the third generation wrestler in the company as they felt losing him would be a major blow.
Orton teased reuniting with The Revival in 2020 which is when his contract was supposed to expire. He was reportedly pushing hard for a stable that would include him and the Revival, but in the end they were put on two separate shows. Regardless, the new contract ensures that Orton will be a top player in WWE for years to come.
Randy Orton, who has been with the company since 2001, is a 9-time WWE Champion and a 4-time World Champion.
