AEW has signed women’s wrestler Big Swole to a contract, according to a new report from Bodyslam.net and Squared Circle Sirens. It was noted that Swole impressed AEW officials so much in her recent AEW Dark match, that officials offered her a contract as soon as she made her way to the back.
Swole, who is married to WWE’s Cedric Alexander, was trained by George South, Caleb Konley, and her husband. She is the current SHINE Tag Team Champion with Aja Perera.
After competing in the AEW All Out Casino Battle Royale, won by Nyla Rose, back in late August, Swole made her Dark debut at the October 30 tapings, teaming with Mercedes Martinez for a loss to Allie and Sadie Gibbs. The AEW Dark tapings this week saw Swole face Hikaru Shida in a singles match. That match will air next Tuesday.
As Aerial Monroe, Swole lost to Zeuxis in the first round of WWE’s 2018 Mae Young Classic. She worked a MYC dark match the next night, teaming with Candice LeRae for a win over Killer Kelly and Jinny. She also lost a squash to Nia Jax back on the August 1, 2016 RAW episode.
It was also noted that AEW is expected to announce Swole’s signing soon. Stay tuned for updates.
