Since the announcement of AEW, several wrestlers have come out and openly expressed frustration with their spot in the WWE when they likely wouldn’t have before AEW’s emergence.
You can add T.J. Perkins to the list of wrestlers that doesn’t appear to be happy with his place. He posted a cryptic message on Instagram that implied that while he doesn’t need to have the full weight of the WWE’s promotional machine behind him, he also doesn’t want his legs cut out from under him.
When a fan responded to ask why he wasn’t on the main roster anymore, his response seemed to indicate that he thinks his lack of air time and success stems from his inability to play the political game rather than the merits of his work.
