Ariana Grace makes her dream of a Heatwave pre-show match come true

Ariana Grace makes the most of her minutes on NXT, and if you want examples of how, look no further than last night’s final episode before the brand’s Heatwave premium live event this Sunday.

Early in the July 2 show, we got a locker room scene. The pageant queen sighs dramatically until she gets Karmen Petrovic’s attention.

Once she has it, Arianna delivers a speech about how her loss to Sol Ruca last week snatched her soul by preventing her from wrestling in her hometown, where her people are waiting for her. Petrovic somewhat begrudgingly consoles her, empathisizing that she’s also from Toronto. Grace “lovingly” tells Natalya’s protégé that she’s not as Canadian as she is.

Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx then roll up to talk some trash, leading to match between Karmen and Nyx, which Jazmyn wins via a Jayne distraction. Petrovic then goes to General Manager Ava’s office to demand a chance at revenge, only to find out her new “friend” had already arranged for a tag match on the pre-show (which WWE used to call Kickoffs, but is now calling a Countdown).

Grace reposted that scene with this message:
