Lets take a look at the Arizona Cardinals cornerback room heading into training camp.
The Arizona Cardinals have three weeks until training camp kicks off and the questions regarding the roster construction are going to be a nice topic for the next two months until cutdown day 2024.
We have discussed the running backs, and defensive line, but what about the cornerback room?
Right off the jump you have to assume these fourplayers are on the roster:
- Max Melton
- Sean Murphy-Bunting
- Garrett Williams
- Elijah Jones
Those are likely all players on the roster and I would also assume hopefully the top three will be the top three in snaps in 2024.
From there you have:
- Starling Thomas – 474 snaps in 2023
- Kei’Trel Clark – 6th round pick and 464 snaps in 2023
- Divaad Wilson – 96 snaps in 2023
- Michael Ojemudia – Former 3rd round pick for Denver Broncos, did not play in 2023
- Darren Hall – Former 4th round pic for Atlanta Falcons, did not play in 2023
- Bobby Price – Former Detroit Lion and special teams ace, for Arizona Cardinals in 2023
- Jaden Davis – Seventh round pick in 2024
If I had to wager right now, the cornerback room in 2024 to start the season will be:
- Max Melton
- Sean Murphy-Bunting
- Garrett Williams
- Elijah Jones
- Kei’Trel Clark
- Bobby Price
- Jaden Davis
Price and Davis could be a dog fight, but I think only three safeties make the roster, something we will look at later.
