The Arizona Cardinals have the worst defensive line in the NFL.

The Arizona Cardinals did nothing for years under Steve Keim along the defensive front, and now they are having to fix that.

It is a slow rebuild, and it shows based off the PFF defensive line rankings, as they come in dead last.

From PFF:

32. ARIZONA CARDINALS

Rookie Darius Robinson has every chance to be the Cardinals’ best defensive lineman immediately, which says everything about where this group is. Dennis Gardeck had a career year last season, with 42 quarterback pressures and six sacks, but he had typically been a special teams stud until that point. Zaven Collins is a converted off-ball linebacker and very much still a work in progress.

The rest of this group would be solid second-teamers but are expected to be starters.

It is a tough one.

The team has been built off mid-level starters and castoffs, before adding Darius in the first round.

They were the worst in the league last year, but most of that was because of health and then the subsequent injuries to backups and the fact the teams was playing mostly off the street free agents.

So, can they stay healthy and improve? I think if they end the season in the 24 or better range that is a massive improvement, because I don’t know if anyone would disagree going into the season, this is the worst unit in the league… until proven otherwise.
