According to Dave Meltzer and Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is to have Braun Strowman defeat Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel and become the Universal Champion.
From there, Meltzer expects his first feud to be with Drew McIntyre. The happenings last night on Raw would lend credence to this theory.
Meltzer goes on to state that there’s always the possibility that the WWE decides to throw a lot more money at Lesnar in order for him to stick around as champ, but the current idea is that Braun will emerge victorious.
