on

The BGMI India Series (BGIS) 2024 Grand Finals are all set to happen from June 28 to 30 in Hyderabad. With only 16 teams remaining after the long qualifiers and league stage, anyone could take the trophy home. However, if you are wondering who the favorites of the BGIS 2024 Grand Finals are, here’s the complete list.

BGMI India Series 2024 (BGIS): Who Are the Favorites

Before we begin, it’s important to note that BGMI esports is very unpredictable. We have seen underdog stories in the past and given how the league stage for the BGIS 2024 unfolded, it won’t be surprising to see it happen again.

Honorable Mentions for BGIS 2024: Team XSpark

Before we go to our top 3, we have to give an honorable mention to one of the best teams in the region – Team XSpark. XSpark’s owner is one of India’s most famous BGMI Esports players, ScoutOP. This team has been a part of all the 3 BGIS events since 2021. Last year, during BGIS, this team finished 3rd in the tournament. With previous LAN experience, it will be interesting if the team can also finish in the top 3 during the BGIS 2024 – or perhaps win it all.

Number 3: Global Esports

Since the start of the year, Global Esports has really evolved to become a fan favorite. Known for their aggressive playstyle, the team has proven all doubters wrong. During the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series, the first LAN of the year, the team finished in 9th position. Since then, they haven’t looked back and have continued with the upwards momentum.

This year, the team also went on to win the Skyesports Mobile Open 2024 with ease. During the qualifying stages of the BGIS, the team qualified for week 1 of the event. In their journey for qualification, the team has had quite an inconsistent run. But, there were matches where they secured over 25 points with the new points table in place.

What makes Global Esports in the BGMI 2024 Grand Finals even more exciting is that we will be seeing Mavi return. This is the first time we will see him participate in an official event since 2021. With a young and dynamic roster with the likes of NinjaBoi, slug, and Beast, the sky is the limit for this team. Can they keep a hold on their nerves during the BGIS 2024 Finals? Only time will tell.

Number 2: Mogo Esports

If you haven’t heard of MOGO Esports before, that’s alright because you will recognize this team by their roster. It’s none other than the reigning champions of the BGIS 2023, the team of Destro, Justin, Shogun, and DeltaPG. Previously, they were a part of Gladiator Esports and Gods Reign. This roster is one that every single team needs to watch out for. They have been on an incredible run of form during official BGMI tournaments. It does look like during the BGIS 2024, they will give it their all to reclaim the throne.

In 2023, they started the season by winning the BGMS by one point. They followed that up by winning the BGIS 2023, with DeltaPG winning the MVP of the event. During the BMPS 2023, they finished 2nd, coming close to winning the trifecta.

The team hasn’t started the year this year as they would like to, though. The one point to note is that this team is known for their consistency during official BGMI tournaments hosted by Krafton India. Destro, the team’s IGL, is the only player to win the previous two iterations of the game. Can he make it 3 in a row? Only time can tell.

Number 1: iQOO Soul

If you have been following the BGMI esports ecosystem, there is one team that everyone is watching out for. It’s none other than Team Iqoo Soul. They previously played for Blind Esports and won the BMPS 2023. In 2023, if Team Gladiators were one side of the coin, then Blind Esports were the other. Last year, they won the Skyesports Championship 5.0 and Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2023. In the BMPS 2024, Spower won the MVP award and secured his first official BGMI trophy at 17.

Following the BMPS 2024, they joined iQOO Soul in one of the most significant transfers in BGMI esports. This year, they continued their run of form, coming second during ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: BGMI and Skyesports Champions Series 2024. Since the start of BGIS The Grind, this team has been the favorite to qualify for the Grand Final. They did so spectacularly by qualifying during week 1 of the semi-finals.

To be blunt here, this team has proven that it can keep its nerves in check during major LAN events. In the BGIS 2023, they finished 4th. With the addition of Spower to their roster during the special India—Korea Invitational tournament, they finished 4th as well. Since then, they haven’t looked back and kept the momentum with themselves.

With the likes of Jokerr, Manya, Nakul, Rony, and Spower, this team is the favorite to win the event. Can they do it? This is another question that is left to be answered. BGIS 2024 is looking to be one of the most exciting mobile esports events slated to take place this year.
