WWE Famous wrestler Booker T is looking to become the latest from his sport to launch a successful career in politics.

Booker T. Huffman Jr. announced on Twitter Tuesday that he is going to run for Mayor of Houston in 2019. The concept first arose on his radio show on Sports Radio 610 in Houston, and after doing some research and serious thinking, he says he plans to seriously pursue the goal.

Booker T grew up in Houston and even has an armed robbery record there from his time prior to his wrestling career. But he turned his life around completely and became one of the most well-known wrestlers.

Booker T is looking to join former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura as a wrestler who was successfully elected to public office.
