Britt Baker challenges a fully heel Mercedes Moné for All In

Dr. Britt Baker said she had a lot to say in her first promo back on Dynamite, and she did. The first woman AEW ever signed discussed the health problems that have kept her out since last last fall. Those included herniated discs, a torn labrum, and a TIA (transient ischemic attack, also known as a mini-stroke) that left her hospitalized for a week.

After always telling herself she was okay, the mini-stroke told her she wasn’t. So Tony Khan told her to stay home until she was.

When that happened, she needed pro wrestling — and specifically All Elite Wrestling. She thanked the AEW fans for supporting her Sunday, when she admits she was filled with doubt that the crowd’s reaction dispelled.

Which brought her to the woman she interrupted at Forbidden Door, Mercedes Moné. Britt mocked the former Sasha Banks for not earning her spot in the company, or her nickname, which she said fans only chant “C.E.O.” because she pipes it in via her entrance music.

The dentist was cut off by video of someone arriving at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, and it was the new double champion. She was greeted by The Elite’s Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, in case you weren’t clear if Mercedes was a heel now.

Moné hit the ring for her celebration, but Baker didn’t exit. Chi-town let Mercedes hear it, and the two wresters traded verbal shots (and reminding us that Moné is so much more natural on the mic as a villain). It built to Britt challenging the TBS & NJPW Strong Women’s champ to a match at All In. The C.E.O. big-timed D.M.D., and said Baker needed to get in line for a shot at her.

Still looks like we’ve got a big match for Wembley Stadium though.
