The current plan for Cain Velasquez and Brock Lesnar is to wrestle in Saudi Arabia for the WWE title. The WWE had planned out this storyline in advance in hopes that Velasquez would sign with them.

The storyline saw Lesnar destroy Mysterio and his son earlier this week to eliminate him from his Universal title shot with Seth Rollins. Rey would retaliate by bringing in Cain Velasquez to face Lesnar. This puts Velasquez in the hero role that Mysterio is normally in. Velasquez is being presented as legit threat to Brock Lesnar and his WWE title because he beat him for the UFC heavyweight title.

Crown Jewel takes place October 31st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the King Fahd International Stadium.
