The main event of WrestleMania is about the most important feud in the WWE and it usually involves world title matches. However, WrestleMania 33 might be different because the rumored main event is Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg.

There were a lot of possible main events for WrestleMania 33 including The Undertaker’s match, John Cena’s rumored 16th WWE title win and Roman Reigns triumphing again. However, this year’s WrestleMania main event might not be what the majority of fans want.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription), the WWE has changed a lot of its current plans for WrestleMania 33. The Undertaker vs. John Cena is no longer happening while only three matches are set in stone.

Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal, Triple H vs. Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg are final while the remaining eight or nine matches on the card are still up in the air. Meltzer also speculated that Lesnar vs. Goldberg III is going to be the main event of WrestleMania 33.

The two huge superstars faced each other at the Survivor Series last year with Goldberg winning a squash match. Lesnar will make his return since that embarrassing loss on Monday and both of them are entering the Royal Rumble, per WWE.com.

Goldberg is already confirmed for the Fastlane PPV while Lesnar could also make an appearance. Only one thing is sure at the moment, Goldberg and Lesnar will set up their third match at WrestleMania 33 in the Royal Rumble Match.
