On the latest episode of “Busted Open Radio”, Bubba Ray blamed the lack of mega-stars for the recent WWE ratings decline:

It’s because the WWE has set the bar so high when it comes to star power. Rock, Austin, Undertaker, Triple H, Jericho, Brock Lesnar, Cena, these are mega stars. There are no mega stars right now and they are what always carried WWE. Right now we have stars but none of those mega stars. That is going to affect them going forward.

Bubba had great things to say about the match between Seth Rollins and A.J. Styles but doesn’t believe either guy is the answer to the ratings issue:

People are over, and some people are really over. I don’t know if they have anyone that is really over. It’s not about one person anymore. It’s becoming about the WWE. You come to see the WWE. You used to come to see Cena, The Rock, Austin.
