– AJ Styles was apparently not the first choice to fill in for Bray Wyatt against Finn Balor at WWE TLC last Sunday. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletterthat Chris Jericho was contacted to face Balor, but he is on tour right now with Fozzy. It’s not known if WWE contacted anyone else before asking Styles, who was overseas for the SmackDown tour in Chile.
