While Randy Orton’s attempt to secure a match against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for WrestleMania 36 with a recent failed call-out of the fellow WWE legend, he may have found himself a dance partner for WWE’s biggest event of 2020 in the form of a former NXT World Champion.
Former NXT World Champion Tommaso Ciampa, who recently made his return to the black-and-gold brand on NXT On USA, took to social media on Saturday evening to test the waters and gauge the interest-level for a Ciampa-Orton bout at WrestleMania next year.
Ciampa re-tweeted a post from WWE’s official feed that shows an Orton vs. Ciampa simulation match from the new WWE 2K20 video game, which is due in stores this coming Tuesday, October 22nd.
“Considering Randy won’t be facing [The] Rock at [Wrestle]Mania 36, I guess …” wrote Ciampa in the aforementioned RT of a post on WWE’s Twitter feed.
