Round One: Tabiti starts the round with some left jabs, Cunningham doesn’t take a lot of damage as he squares his opponent up. Tabiti, trained by Floyd Mayweather, Sr, lands a left hook to the body of his opponent followed by a triple jab. Cunningham attempts to get in the inside of his opponent but eats a sweeping left hand. Cunningham eats another jab as Tabiti is using lateral movement across the ropes. Cunningham finally answers with a jab. Cunningham lands a left and a right, backing his opponent into the corner and locks up. The referee separates, they do it again, the referee separates again.

Round Two: Tabiti starts it out with a double jab right hand combination. Steve Cunningham mounts a defense, Tabiti latches on but the referee separates them. Cunningham lands a right hand in defense of body shots. Beautiful combination from Andrew Tabiti just as Cunningham looked to be getting in a groove. Cunningham lands a jab to his opponent’s head but Tabiti fights him right back, working his head with his right hand.

Round Three: Tabiti starts with a crisp combination, Cunningham tries to feed him a stream of short right hands. He’s missing his spots as Tabiti continues to impress. Cunningham scores Tabiti into the ropes but doesn’t really land anything. Tabiti dodges some blows from his opponent as we head into the final 60 seconds of the round. Cunningham gets Tabiti in position to attack but is unable to make the most of his opportunities. Tabiti countered but Cunningham landed a jab. Cunningham clinches on his opponent and the bell rings.
Scores the round 10-9 for Tabiti (30-27).
Round Four: Tabiti does a good job of avoiding Cunningham’s jab, fighting very defensively. He landed some good sequences, enough to get the round. Cunningham is still alive but Tabiti’s crisp combinations have been enough to give him the edge.

Round Five: Cunningham tries to come out on offense but is eventually separated from his opponent. Tabiti continues to use lateral movement to tap into the gas tank of his older opponent. Cunningham runs Tabiti into the ropes, the referee separates.

Round Six: Andrew Tabiti throws a left jab and lands two more body blows. Cunningham looks gassed and is trying to lock up every chance he gets. Cunningham tries to put together a combo and backs Tabiti into the ropes. The referee calls for a break. Tabiti lands a combination of jabs but could stand to be a little more active. Short right hand on the inside by Tabiti to end the round.

Round Seven: Steve Cunningham comes out hot but his momentum is quickly ended.

Round Eight: Both men exchange opening blows and the referee warns against holding. Tabiti tries to split Cunningham’s guard with his jab. Cunningham is just a step slower but Tabiti’s defensive style has left this fight lacking. The referee asked Cunningham what he’s doing over there as he backed Tabiti into the ropes. Mauro Ranallo uses the moment to plug the main event as the referee breaks them up. Right uppercut left hook combination from Tabiti. Cunningham’s punches, when they are landed, are much lighter. Tabiti lands a late right hand to end the round.

Round Nine: Steve Cunningham opens with some offense but Tabiti lands another beautiful combination. Left jab times two from Tabiti. Cunningham lands a massive shot to Tabiti’s head but backs him into the ropes and causes the referee break.

Round 10: There’s been a lot of defensive fighting in this round, with Cunningham trying to salvage something from the fight. He gets warned from the referee for dragging his fist across Tabiti’s face in the corner. A couple of crisp shots are landed by Cunningham, with Tabiti getting one in edge wise.

Light Heavyweight Fight
Badou Jack (175.5 pounds) vs. Nathan Cleverly (174.25 pounds)
Round One: Both fighters come out swinging hard. Cleverly jabs but eats some body shots. Cleverly and Jack have established jabs with Cleverly sending Jack into the ropes. Left jabs from Cleverly to Jack’s face. Badou Jack is on the defensive and retreating around the ring. He builds a counter with a left hand to Cleverly’s body and follows with an uppercut. Cleverly lands a couple nice lefts hands to finish the round.
Scores the round 10-9 for Jack.
Round Two: Left hands from Cleverly but Jack fights back. Jack connects with a couple of jabs and then works Cleverly’s body. He goes to the kidneys and then upstairs, in control of the fight.
Scores the round 10-9 for Jack (20-18).
Round Three: Cleverly comes out on offense but walks into a combination from Jack. Big left hands from Jack. Cleverly looks to counter and they’re nose to nose. Both fighters are in the pocket, keeping it fresh and entertaining. Uppercut from Cleverly but Jack is able to walk away from it and hits a free punch combination. Jack goes upstairs and then downstairs to Cleverly’s body. Jack catches Cleverly after a combination. Cleverly just isn’t very creative or hasn’t been so far.
Scores the round 10-9 for Jack (30-27).
Round Four: Badou Jack is working Cleverly, whose defense is starting to falter. Jack is in control and backing Cleverly down at will. They go nose to nose and Jack just continues to throw punches. He threw 91 in Round Three. Jack is breaking down his opponent, as Cleverly swings and misses. Jack catches Cleverly in the face with hard lefts and backs him into the corner, just teeing off. Cleverly is balling up in defense and bleeding.
Scores the round 10-9 for Jack (40-36).
Round Five: Badou Jack goes right back on the attack, literally trying to obliterate his opponent’s organs. Jack has put on a complete clinic, both offensively and defensively. Cleverly wants to go to the body but he can’t because he’s just eating punches. Badou Jack tees off on Cleverly, who finally counters with a left hand. Cleverly has taken a flurry of damage but he’s remained on his feet. Jack lands another flurry of punches, including a vicious uppercut as the referee steps in to end the fight.
Official Result: Badou Jack defeats Nathan Cleverly by TKO at 2:47 of Round Five to become the new WBA Light Heavyweight Champion
Junior Lightweight Fight for the IBF World Junior Lightweight Championship
Gervonta Davis (132 pounds) vs. Francisco Fonseca (130 pounds)
Round One: Gervonta Davis shows off good head movement in the early going. Fonseca looks to go to the body and ends up landing some offense. Davis is backed into the ropes and the two fighters lock up. Davis attacks the body of Fonseca with the right hand jab. Fonseca goes downstairs, Davis fight back and just misses with a big left uppercut. Big left from Davis onto Fonseca but he lands a nice right body shot in defense.

Round Two: Fonseca lands some offense but Davis locks him up and lifts him off the canvas, the referee restores order. Fonseca goes to the body of Gervonta Davis and is trying to make up for a lackluster start. Davis backs Fonseca down with a hard body shot but Fonseca goes upstairs. Fonseca locks up Davis to draw the break. Davis lands a vicious left hook, an uppercut and more. Fonseca proves he has a chin and lands a counter blow of his own.

Round Three: Fonseca starts out on offense but Davis is quick to reverse it. Left hook, uppercut and more from Davis as Fonseca wobbles. Davis goes upstairs but eats a shot to the face from his opponent. Fonseca backs Davis into the corner and goes for the body.

Round Five: Fonseca locks up Davis out of the gate, the referee separates. Fonseca goes for the body of Davis, who is letting him in easily. Davis back on offense with tough uppercuts on his opponent. Davis is fighting in flurries here and goes upstairs and then downstairs. Right hand from Fonseca but didn’t land on Davis. Fonseca and Davis square each other up as Davis lands a right hand.

Round Six: Fonseca goes upstairs and Davis counters with body shots. Davis continues to try to slow down Fonseca with body shots. Keep in mind not only did Davis miss weight for this fight but he refused to weigh in tonight. Fonseca lands offense in the corner and backs Davis into the other corner. Davis goes upstairs and backs his opponent down.
Scores the round 10-9 for Fonseca (58-56).
Round Seven: Davis was nearly knocked down after tripping on Fonseca’s foot. Fonseca lands a big right to Davis’ face. Fonseca pounds at the body of Davis, sending him in the corner and garnering a referee break. Davis misses on an uppercut but Fonseca doesn’t capitalize. Big left hook from Davis, he ducks and lands a right. Davis utilizes lateral foot work and continues to fight in spurts and maximize his combinations.
Scores the round 10-9 for Davis (68-65).
Round Eight: Gervonta Davis lands a big right upstairs and then to Fonseca’s body. Davis lands a left on the back of Fonseca’s head and then pushed him down twice. Fonseca goes to the canvas and is counted out. The commentators speculated Davis wanted out of the fight.

Super Welterweight Main Event Fight
Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor
Round One: The bell rings and Conor McGregor goes on the attack. Floyd is fighting on the ropes with McGregor in southpaw. McGregor is being careful but has thrown more than Floyd. Floyd goes in but is met with some offense. McGregor puts his hands behind his back and show boats a bit. Mayweather lands a body shot. Conor catches Floyd on the counter.
Scores the round McGregor 10-9.
Round Two: McGregor gets warned for hammer fisting Mayweather in the back of the head. Floyd looks to go on the attack. McGregor holds onto Floyd and continues to try to swipe him with punches in the lockup.
Scores the round McGregor 10-9 (20-18).
Round Three: McGregor backs Mayweather into a corner and again is tempted with illegal punches. Same situation with the lockup that we’ve seen the previous rounds. Two big right jabs from Conor on Mayweather. Mayweather goes to the body of Conor but McGregor switches stances. Floyd is smiling as the time ticks off the round. Floyd gets hit by another hammer fist by McGregor in the lockup.

Round Four: Mayweather lands some nice combinations but a good jab by McGregor in the counter. Mayweather appears to be the fresher of the two fighters as Conor continues to throw soft punches. Floyd lands some body shots and misses upstairs. Floyd is having a hard time getting off his punches.

Round Five: Conor McGregor is finding angles to work against Mayweather and Mayweather appears frustrated. The referee has a hard time getting the fighters to break and reminds them that stop means stop. Floyd continues to lunge with his right hand but it’s uncharacteristic of the way he fights. Mayweather starts to put together a combination and is now driving McGregor. Conor is still able to get into just enough space to keep himself comfortable. Floyd pushes Conor after the round.

Round Six: Conor McGregor landed a lot of punches to the back of Mayweather’s head as the referee is having a hard time controlling the fight. Mayweather lands a jab and a right hand to his opponent’s body. Big right hand from Mayweather and another onto McGregor. Mayweather is coming at McGregor full force, the Irishman attempts to back him down. Upstairs from Mayweather, Conor hits back. Left hand from Mayweather, Conor hits an uppercut. Mayweather lands a combination and they lockup. McGregor smiles and the crowd pops. Heavy “Conor” chants as McGregor locks Mayweather up. Another hard right hand from Floyd.
Scores the round Mayweather 10-9 (57-57).
Round Seven: Conor McGregor appears fatigued as Floyd Mayweather is putting together combinations. Mayweather lands a couple of right hands and continually backs the UFC champion down. Mayweather lands a jab and while McGregor has landed some punches, he’s not getting a lot on them. This was Mayweather’s best round as he landed big power punches.
Scores the round Mayweather 10-9 (67-66).
Round Eight: Conor puts together a combination to begin the round. Conor lands a step through left hook and sticks Floyd in his face. Mayweather fights back and backs Conor into the corner. McGregor ties up Mayweather as the referee breaks them up. The crowd chants “ole” for McGregor as he jabs away at Mayweather. Uppercut and big left hook from Mayweather onto Conor. Right hook to the body, left hook upstairs from Conor. Big left jab from Mayweather onto McGregor.
Scores the round Mayweather 10-9 (77-75).
Round Nine: Conor comes out swinging with a big body shot, the referee gets between them when Mayweather was in the corner. McGregor is landing a lot of offense but he eats an uppercut and a right from Mayweather. McGregor is leaving his chin in the sights of Mayweather and Floyd is swinging away. McGregor is gassed and looks at the clock to see how much time left in the round. He clinches Mayweather and is now fighting back. Floyd is swinging away again, landing another big right hand. Floyd is teeing off on the fatigued UFC champion. Mayweather is now completely dominating.

Final Round: The round starts with several clinches. Conor tries to hold his own but Mayweather is out swinging again. Floyd Mayweather tags Conor McGregor with a right hand and has him on the ropes, McGregor is wobbly and Mayweather continues to dish out punishment. Finally, the referee is forced to step in and stop the fight.
