Daniel Garcia gets huge offers from MJF, Will Ospreay

Maxwell Jacob Friedman was all set to kick off the June 26 Dynamite from Buffalo, New York, but he didn’t get far before he was cut off by hometown guy Daniel Garcia.

He teased a confrontation with one of wrestling’s best trash talkers, but Garcia was out to say nice things about Our Scumbag. Not only did he want to thank MJF for coming to his aid last week, he put over Max’s accomplishments as the longest reigning, and youngest, World champion in company history. Danny also said that his interactions with Friedman last year (including an embarrassingly short World title match) lit a fire under him that convinced him he could not only be a pillar of AEW — he could be its backbone.

After some schilling for this Sunday’s PPV and next weekend’s Collision, MJF put over Garcia and made him an offer of a one-on-one match at All In this August in Wembley Stadium!

Before an obviously excited Garcia could respond, Will Ospreay’s music hit. He buttered up the Western New York crowd, and talked about how impressed he’s been by the local kid. So impressed, Bruv wanted to offer him a shot at his International title next week on Dynamite Beach Break. He also said he’d put the AEW World title he faces Swerve Strickland for this Sunday at Forbidden Door on the line!

MJF obviously didn’t like being upstaged, but he didn’t lash out. He told Danny that Ospreay had just offered him a huge opportunity, and he should focus on that. Friedman then marched up the ramp and exited through the tunnel heels usually use.

One person who didn’t show up in all this was Strickland. But he was watching backstage with Prince Nana, and obviously didn’t like Will “putting the cart before the horse”. The World champ said that was proof of what he said about Ospreay last week, and warned him he better keep up his end of the bargain when they team up against Gates of Agony later on Dynamite.

How many belts will be on the line when Ospreay and Garcia go one-on-one next week? Will Bruv regret disrespected MJF and/or Swerve? Is Garcia ready for any of this?
