During last Sunday’s NJPW Dominion event, fans watching on New Japan World noticed that Chris Jericho’s entrance theme, normally his hit Fozzy song “Judas,” was dubbed over. Jericho stated on Twitter that he was unsure of why that had happened, as he’s used the song in the past, and wondered if NJPW paid for the rights.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Sony wanted NJPW to pay $2,500 for the rights to “Judas,” and NJPW turned it down, instead putting out a cover song.
There was a small rights fee involved that @njpwworld & @njpw1972 chose not to pay. End of story. https://t.co/urur1Vx3zr
