Raw airs tonight (July 1) with a live show from TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. This is the final episode of Raw during the three week build towards Money in the Bank, which takes place on Saturday (July 6) in Toronto.

Dominik Mysterio’s deadbeat dad is at it again

On last week’s episode of Raw, Liv Morgan showered Dominik Mysterio with gifts and told him that Rhea Ripley never cared for him the way he deserves. This led to an interruption from Zelina Vega, who was repulsed by Liv’s attempts to chase the Dirty D. A brawl ensued between Morgan and Vega, and Rey Mysterio showed up to pull Liv off Zelina. The end result is that Dominik shoved his dad to the ground, essentially proving to be Liv’s knight in shining armor.

Liv later thanked Dominik for saving her and proving that he cares. Dom dismissed that idea and said he only did it because his dad is a deadbeat.

This angle is the impetus for two matches that are booked on Raw tonight. First up is Liv Morgan defending the Women’s World Championship against Zelina Vega. Then it will be Rey vs. Dominik Mysterio again.

In the big picture, it appears that Liv Morgan’s plan to take everything away from Rhea Ripley is working out very well so far. By the end of last week’s episode, Liv went so far as to trick R-Truth into putting the World Tag Team Championship on the line against The Judgment Day. The end result is that Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are the new champions, and it wouldn’t have happened if Liv didn’t orchestrate the whole thing.

Is the idea that Liv is trying to make nice with the rest of The Judgment Day so she can actually take Rhea’s spot in the group? With that in mind, the best case scenario for Liv tonight is that she retains the gold against Zelina and then helps Dominik finally beat his deadbeat dad for the three count. Maybe that’s what it will take for Dirty Dom to realize that he really can’t get enough Liv Morgan in his life.

Will Mami return to WWE television very soon even if she is not medically cleared, in order to stop Liv from sinking her claws deeper into The Judgment Day? You’ll have to tune into Raw tonight to see what kind of mind games Liv has in store next for Dominik and The Judgment Day.

The rest of the card

The final two Money in the Bank qualifying matches are scheduled for tonight. On the women’s side it will be Zoey Stark vs. Dakota Kai vs. Ivy Nile. The winner advances to this weekend’s ladder match that also includes IYO SKY, Tiffany Stratton, Chelsea Green, Naomi, and Lyra Valkyria. If Dakota Kai wins tonight, it will given Damage CTRL a big advantage at Money in the Bank, assuming she and SKY will work together to take out the field.

Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus vs. Ilja Dragunov is the final men’s qualifying match. McIntyre is hell-bent on finding his way into the ladder match after being screwed by CM Punk at Clash at the Castle in Scotland. If that means Drew has to kick his old pal Sheamus’ head off tonight, then so be it.

Finally, Xavier Woods vs. Karrion Kross is advertised for tonight. Kross beat Kofi Kingston last week in a match where Kofi was distracted when he saw that the Authors of Pain were beating up Woods in the back. Will this match show if Xavier is actually falling for Karrion’s nonsense about abandoning Kofi and the New Day?

Other stuff to keep an eye on

– Chad Gable tried to get Otis to come back to him last week, but he was rejected. Is it time for Chad to officially welcome The Creeds into Alpha Academy and order them to beat up his former number one student?

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn should probably stay on Raw and focus on dealing with Damage CTRL, rather than going to SmackDown and running into former champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, both of whom have some time on their hands after failing to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

– Sami Zayn made a huge mistake last week when he granted Bron Breakker a shot at the Intercontinental championship at Money in the Bank. Will Bron give Sami a preview of what to expect this weekend by spearing the shit out of him tonight?

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest made a foolish decision last week when he agreed to leave The Judgment Day if he loses the belt to Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank. He made an even bigger mistake when he openly declared that The Judgment Day needs him more than he needs them. Should the rest of the group be on the search for a suitable replacement for Damian just in case he falls flat on his face this weekend against Seth?

– It was a little unsettling to watch Uncle Howdy interview Bo Dallas last week and ask about how he felt when his brother died. Who will the Wyatt Sicks group make suffer tonight on Raw?

– GUNTHER hasn’t had a televised match since he won the King of the Ring tournament towards the end of May. Does the Ring General need a tune-up match to stay sharp as he prepares for a world title fight at SummerSlam?

– Will Jey Uso find an excuse to climb a ladder at some point tonight to show that he has the skill set that is required to win the Money in the Bank ladder match on Saturday?

– Where the f*** is Odyssey Jones?

What will you be looking for on Raw?
